Promotional Strategy

Product placement is an example of promotional strategy.  Consumers will often see product placements in movies, television shows, commercials and even billboards in big cities.  I often see many Mac books in television shows and movies in a setting of a home or school. That is an example of product placement.  Often times celebrities will hold Starbucks or Coke products and this technique attracts consumers who are fans of those celebrities.

An example of product placement would be the use of Apple products in the show, The Hills on MTV.  The stars of the show have Mac books and iPhones.  It is a conspicuous way to market the product.
